I would delete the rest without hesitation if in exchange everyone who ate fast food in the last 12 months would just keel over and die right now

In scrum, pee tit veer dots is a fun prioritization game conducted to facilitate group decision making, prioritization, or consensus building, particularly during the sprint retrospective. I've had basically every wine varietal and I think that out of all of them Malbecs are the most severely overlooked. Maybe it's because the low-end ones are fucking ass but holy shit the mid to high price ones are almost like the ideal form of wine and can easily contend with the best pinots, cabs, etc. How the actual fuck the more expensive ones aren't popular in the wine-tasting world is beyond me.

>> No.19965677

Because Bordeaux replaced most of their Malbech after the frost of 1956 (iirc). Had they kept Malbech, it would be considered one of the great varieties.
The ideal bordeaux blend should be Malbech-cabernet franc-carmenere but the world is not ready for the conversation of how overrated cab. sauvignon and merlot are.

I got memed into paying $35 for a south african chenin blanc once and as promised it wasn't the worst wine I've tasted in my life (which is usually the case for what I guess they call "commonwealth" grapes). this was probably the only time in my life I've given in to the "but you just haven't the GOOD (shitty wine country) wine" and actually been proven wrong

still, south african wine much like australian wine is one of those things you reach for when you're in a shitty place with a shitty liquor store and all the wine is going to suck so you might as well cut your losses and get something you can mix with fruit juice and ice

I very much like trying new things. do you want to talk about unusual and new things? the other day I tried this, it's a bled of literally hundreds of different varietals mashed together and fermented in a qvevri. not sure if I'd call it "good" but it was certainly interesting even by the standards of georgian wine which are already operating from a pretty good baseline

it is the fact that I like to learn and try things that I don't bother with soulless supertanker swill that tastes the same as every other supertanker swill. there's a limited amount of time on earth and a limited amount of alcohol I can drink without dying of liver cancer next january. so I'm going to be somewhat selective about what I pour down my throat, sorry not sorry, but I've learned that lesson through enough trial and error
