Not a poo, have no idea what your restaurant did, but here's one I've made in a small slow cooker:

I usually bake the chicken breasts ahead of time. You can tandoori them but I never bother.

>Part 1
- 250g Baby Spinach
- About 3/4 container of Cherry Tomatoes (about 3/4 pint I think)
- 1 Onion
- 1/4 tsp coriander
- 1/4 tsp cumin
- 1/4 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tablespoon Freeze Dried Garlic
- 1 tablespoons ghee

Boil spinach briefly, drain and chop in food processor. Then process tomatoes and combine with spinach. Combine remaining ingredients into slow cooker on high for 2 hours.

>Part 2
- 1 tablespoon ghee
- 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
- 3 tablespoons heavy cream
- Pre-cooked Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast, cubed (up to 1 lb)

After 2 hours, add 1 additional tablespoon of ghee, 1/4 teaspoon of Garam Masala, 3 tablespoons of heavy cream, and the cooked chicken. Cook in slow cooker on high for an additional 30 minutes.

The closest Indian place to me makes the best malai kofta I've ever fucking tasted. If the rest of their menu was that good, they'd be dominating the local restaurant scene. They have a problem with spice levels, too: their mild feels like nothing at all (which is its own option for heat) but their medium is hotter than the hot of some places I used to eat at in California.

The first indian dish I ever had was Tandoori chicken. It's basically Indian BBQ. What you'll get is just marinated chicken with sides. "Chicken Tikka" is Tandoori chicken that's cut up and sometimes on a kebab.
There are a lot of fried foods also. What this anon (>>19954874) calls "Bhajee" I know as Pakora. There's also samosas which are fried spicy-savory pastries. I've had those go either way, sometimes really good sometimes bad textures, overly spicy, etc.

I went on a date with a poojeeta once many years back, her favorite food was biryani which is basically just meat, rice, vegetables and spices. In theory it's some challenge to get right because the different ingredients have different cook times and the final step is to bake it. But to my uncultured taste buds I never gave a shit it was just meat and rice to me. Could have just cooked it all separately and mixed it together at the end and I wouldn't have cared.
