Why don't they make taller refrigerators?

All of the tall ones are wide and shallow. All of the deeper ones aren't anywhere near as tall or wide.

So what fucking gives?

Ideally, I'd want something that is ~32"x30"x78"

but all they make in a 32"x30" footprint is a 66.375" tall unit. If they went to ~76-80" tall you'd have an additional 4-5+ cubic feet inside.

I know short people exist, but come the fuck on, they're not living in my goddamn house.

If I could get pic related ~4" shallower and ~3-5" narrower, and 4-6" taller, I'd suck start a hobo.

Firstly, it's already (somewhat) common in earthquake-prone areas to have anchors on appliances and bookshelves and shit as it is.

Beyond that, your fridge SHOULD have leveling feet and if you read the installation guide, it usually tells you to make sure the front legs are raised above the rear legs, so it wont be prone to tipping.

How is a woman supposed to get stuff from it if it's 78'' ? It would be
>hey anon, can you get me the....
every time she tries to cook anything.

I'm not passing judgement on your idea. It makes sense to me for a variety of kitchen configurations. I'm just telling you why. I guarantee some engineer in the basement at Refrigerator Inc has had this same conversation, but the in-house legal team said it's too much liability.

My fridge already has a cubby cutout for it in the existing cabinetry, easily 85-90" of space from the floor.

The problem is, I have a ton of vertical space in my kitchen available where my fridge already exists, but I don't have any more width available.

You can find tall refrigerators at various appliance retailers, both in physical stores and online. Common places to look include large appliance stores, home improvement stores, and online platforms like Amazon, Best Buy, or Home Depot. Make sure to check the dimensions and features to ensure the refrigerator meets your specific needs.

No, you can't.

You can find tall narrow fridge, or you can find tall and wide fridge, but there does not exist a "Standard" 2 door fridge that is 75"+ tall.

That’s because it’s not a ‘standard’ fridge.
You answered your own question.

Lmao, why the fuck not is my god damn point.

We all have fucking standard ceiling sizes in the kitchen but a standard fridge is 66" for no fucking reason besides we don't feel like giving you a bigger fridge without you paying for bullshit "luxury" features like 3/4 door or side-by-side models.

I can find a french door 75"+ no sweat, but it's 36"+ wide and too wide for my kitchen.

There is no reason they can't give me a 2 door (bottom freezer preferably, but i'd take a top freezer model too) standard footprint (28-32" by 28-34") with a 75"+ height, but they are almost all under 67" with around 20-22 cubic feet at most. Even though you could easily get to 25+ cubic feet by adding some height into the SAME footprint.

Fridge insulation and home design changed the standards. Fitting a new fridge, to my 50 year old home, with custom cabinetry, was a PITA. I had to mod all of the upper cabinets and side cabinet, to get a new fridge to fit and still look good.
