You're just lazy Fjodor. Even with Google being terrible it's still easy to find that "A serving size is the amount of food customarily consumed (i.e., typically eaten) in one sitting
for that food (section 403(q)(1)(A)(i) of the FD&C Act)."

You guys not getting paid recently? What's the matter Russia?

Anon, the far more devastating thing which happened is that women started entering the work force en masse and we shifted to a 2 parents working + unsupervised latch key kid family paradigm. Everyone started getting fat the moment we got rid of the concept of a homemaker and stopped home cooking.

The chart says limit added fat and sugar and nobody was doing that. The food pyramid is much healthier than the standard American diet full of highly processed food and added sugar.

it's a complete psyop by the (((USDA))). Grains, on paper, aren't even a nutritiously dense food, what little nutrition is in them is because of fortification. Any essential nutrient found in grains can be gotten elsewhere more efficiently.

Plus, many grains are genetically modified to withstand pesticide exposure. So farmers can just carpet spray their entire field killing everything but the wheat itself thus making it easier to harvest. Most conventional grain products have detectable glyphosate levels. If you're going to eat it at the very least eat organic.

Fruits and Vegetable if you're trying to maximize nutrition. And indulge in rice and pasta on occasion but don't make them the bulk of your diet.

>> No.19940664

It's literally fine. 1/3 carb, 1/3 protein, 1/3 veg is absolutely a normal way to eat food. The FDA pyramid slightly tilts towards carbs (37.5%, rather than a third), and slightly away from meats, but it's basically fine. It just visually looks like they're demanding lots of carbs. The only real problem here is putting milk and cheese on the same level as other proteins, when it should be had less often.

Not the way Americans use it. The suggestion that cheese is a good food to eat on a regular basis has had a devastating effect on the obesity rate.

>> No.19940684

>>19940680
That's moreso because Americans use cheese as a structural component rather than as flavour, radically overserving it. A slice of cheese on a sandwich or some cubes of cheese on a charcuterie board is worlds apart from a half pound of shredded cheese melted overtop a casserole or pizza as a fully encompassing binding agent and topping.

Try eating whole grains retard
"Fortified" grain product are as fortified as if you get robbed $100 and get back $10

> Any essential nutrient found in grains can be gotten elsewhere more efficiently.
You don't actively digest nutrients. Just eat them and let the body do its work

Your intestine can (and will) adapt to increase the absorption of some nutrients and minimize the effects of antinutrients
>Plus, many grains are genetically modified to withstand pesticide exposure.
Pretty much everything you put in your mouth was genetically modified/selected, from fruits to cows

You shouldn't. It's a lobotomized version of actual nutrition study meant to increase the profits of (American) dairy and grain companies. The proper apportionment per meal is two parts fruits/vegetables, one part grain, one part proteins, and ideally cutting out dairy altogether. This obviously varies if you're trying to build muscle or something.

That’s a diet a physically active person ought to follow. If you lead a sendentary life, you should swap the places of the two lowermost levels.
Unfortunately many people fail to eat well and instead gorge on excessively greasy and salty processed meat, shit with a bunch of added sugar, and carbs of terrible quality.
