I have a piece of this and the creamy part is good, but moldy part just tastes like dust/dampy house smell and ruins everything for me.

Is there a way to make it good? Make cheese cream sauce or something? I don't wanna throw it away.

>> No.19926145

Shitty cheese is an acquired taste. Either throw it away, cut out the shitty part, or eat it until you like it.

it's not mold, it's ashes and it shouldn't have any taste, it's just for look and tradition

I hate people like you so much. Why are you buying fancy cheese if you're this poor? And what the fuck is the "moldy part"? Do you think the washed rind is mold?

If you think this is fancy cheese then you are poor.

i actually thought it was mold too, from seeing pictures (never had it) and when i googled it i found out it was ash
did op actually make a thread about a cheese he's never had and pretend to react to its imaginary flavor

>> No.19926455

Yes, he bought a small wedge of cheese and doesn't like it, but instead of cutting his losses and just not buying it again he needs to use up a dollars worth of cheese. That's the definition of being poo. That's depression era behavior.

OP here, I could give less of a fuck about money thrown out the window by throwing piecce of food in the trash.

I'm simply wondering what else can I do to turn it into something I might enjo. Basically, it hurts me to throw something out, that might end up making a nice meal. If that isn't going to be the case, I don't care dumping this into trash. What kind of dense retard are you to think about money first? Seems like you are butthurt over money desu.

I'm from Europe, we have mostly gauda, ementaler, edamec, gruyere and local cheeses in normie supermarkets.

I bought a bunch of classier imported cheeses the other night to give it a taste and the only one I couldn't really like was this morbier piece.

Morbier is easy to melt, so eat it on top of a pizza or make some sauce for white meat.

OP is obviously not American. Americans know what morbier is and aren't this poor.

I did try melting it by making a wrap and it tasted even worse somehow. Maybe it just isn't higher quality, idk.

>> No.19926523

>>19926517
Nobody is talking about leftovers. OP literally said he thinks that part tastes like shit and ruins everything, so he wants to mix it into something where he can't taste it because he's poor and doesn't want to waste any food.

So you just don't like it, although it is weird for you to taste the ashes, but there is only so many ways to eat cheese.. If you like cheeses with similar consistency you can try vacherin.

>> No.19926541

>>19926530
This would be more like OP trying to make a sandwich using egg shells and onion skins. There's very much a reason why people don't typically care about making use of every part of the food when some parts aren't good to eat.

I've had similar experience with gorgonzola and it made for wonderfull creamy sauce

I wasn’t even aware this happened. I guess it’s been awhile since I’ve had Morbier; it just never occurred to me that I haven’t seen it since it’s not something I look for. I usually buy Humboldt Fog if I want something like that. In any case, Morbier is obviously something Americans know about. I’ve had epoisses probably half a dozen times and I think that’s technically been illegal my entire life.
