What is the most simple yet tasty meal possible? I am talking about the biggest ratio of how easy something is to make but still tasty. Picrel is ground beef with eggs - literally 2 ingredients and cooks in less than 10 mins or so. Add some spices and hot sauce and it is an easy 6-7/10 meal.

I would say egg salad too but peeling the eggs can be a pain

Freeze dried food is as easy + tasty as it gets.

Step 1: Boil water
Step 2: Dump water into packet
Wait 10-15 min
Step 3: Eat

I say FD food because it is FAR tastier than cup ramen crap, especially if you get higher end FD food. No mess, no cutting, no prep, easy clean up, easy to do with a kettle or pot. You can't get easier. Even ramen packets have more steps. And cup ramen is shitty food compared to some FD meals out there. Not talking ready wise or other chemical tasting shit, I'm talking Mountain house or peak or some other FD good shit.

>Also an honorary second place is sausage and pasta, cook the sausage in the oven let it rest then slices and toss in the pan with some jar of sauce you like and mix in the cooked pasta.
you can cut a step by slicing the sausage and cooking it right in the pan.
if you want to step it up a notch, add some onions/peppers, and use a can of diced tomatoes to make a sauce from scratch. just chuck in whatever herbs & spices you like and a spoon of butter and let it cook while your pasta boils. I know that is stretching the point of this thread and a jarred sauce is fine too, but it's actually deceptively easy, and a great way to use up stuff in your pantry (I usually have cans of tomatoes lying around and not pasta sauce)

you reminded me of another meal I make too. put sausages and baby potatoes (or roughly chopped tatoes) together in a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, season, and slap in the oven for 30 minutes. serve with some pickles and mustard. it's not glamorous but it's low effort and will fill you up.

Only if you made it the day before.
Otherwise you aren't getting the most out of it.
Besides, you are wasting your money if you buy canned beans unless they are butter beans or something hard to get dried.
If we're going for Über-Lazy,(nothing wrong with that,) packaged tomato soup and 2 grilled cheese sammiches, cut on the diagonal for dipping is breddy gud.

For me, any sheet pan, casserole or skillet meal really. One dish to clean and can make a good amount. I also find the instant pot very low effort because I can just dump shit, leave and come back to hot gumbo or whatever. I find it helpful to keep stuff like cornbread with the fry ingredients pre mixed too so it’s really easy to whip up a side if I’m already kicking on the oven.

Those (except for chicken cutlets) are not that hard to screw up, unless you're retarded. Even making a burger or salad requires more effort than those dishes, that's basic bitch shit. Chicken cutlets is a bit harder since you're dealing with chicken which has a small window it's acceptable to cook it to, but it's still a quite easy dish.
