I've never had deep dish pizza in my life. Worth trying or it a meme?

Deep dish is essentially pizza with double the ingredients. You can literally see it there in that slice
There is nothing inherently different about it other than the amount of ingredients you get. You get the same amount of dough, but double cheese, double sauce, double toppings, etc. It's built upsidedown because the overload of toppings requires a base of cheese to prevent the dough from getting soggy.
People who decry deep dish for some reason are simply retarded.
It is pizza in the exact way that ny and detroit and traditional italian pizza is pizza
All pizza styles are legitimate and can be good, the only thing that makes a pizza bad is the maker being bad.
I am a pizza enjoyer and therefore I am a deep dish enjoyer
It is absolutely worth trying, and even if you end up prefering other types, there is no reason to be up your own ass about it.
I will say, however, that the amount of seethe deep dish causes others DOES make it taste better
As a chiraqi denizen, I recommend Lou Malnati's if youre ever in the area. They make top tier deep dish and are a chain you can find easily. Beyond that, there are probably local places that make good deep dish, but I don't go out often enough to find them.
If you want to eat Giordano's, I pray for your soul.
I hope you found this post useful as I've provided reasonable arguments that are founded in logic and reality
Try deep dish. It's not a meme, it's good and I like it, but it might not be your thing. But maybe it is, and you'll end up as a deep dish appreciator, like me (a chad)

It's pretty good. It's much more filling than a NY style pizza, very hearty and rich. Although I prefer NY style I think deep dish deserves it's praise.
I'd like to try Chicago thin crust but that style doesn't seem to popular outside of the city and surrounding areas.

I mean chicago thin crust isnt very different from thin crusts everywhere else, is it? I cant really see what diffentiates it from other thin crusts, but then again I haven't had thin crusts from many other places.
Usually, when I order Lou Malnati's, I get >one medium or large dish with pepperoni, sausage pieces, light onion, sliced tomatoes, 3 cheese blend
>one medium or large thin crust with pepperoni, spinach, light onion
This is enough for basically three whole meals for me and my parents. First day, then leftovers, of course.
I find that getting spinach on the deep dish results in TOO much spinach, and it ends up overpowering the rest of the zah. Also, maybe it's the particular store we get it from, but they always use a retarded amount of onions. Even when I ask for light, they still have diced onions in every bite

Make the chef john Chicago style deep dish, it's basically a huge pile of slop and melted cheese but it's pretty good. Make sure you use sausage, it woild be awful without it

it can be very good when done well. very mid if it’s average. lou malnatis in chicago is the best because the crust was nice and buttery

Does deep dish only come in pepperoni? I never see the same topping diversity featured on it as you get with regular pizza.

All of the topings are usually underneath the sauce. This is why you always just see it look like a tomatoe sauce pie

You (You)'d me by accident
I already gave my reasoning as to why deep is le good. I did so in the second post best post of the thread
I "Wrong"'d a post that (You)'d my post and said
>Wrong.
I did this because he provided no counterarguments to mine, which means that I did not provide any to his, which already was not an argument
I hope that clears things up
Deep dish is good

I haven't. I always build my own whenever I get it. Even from other 'zah places, I never get their own pies that they curate. Maybe I should try it sometime, but I always feel the toppings are a very personal part of a 'zah and it's best to customize that to your heart's content
