Cook the ground beef until it is actually browned, not just "cooked" and pale brown, but actually dark brown like a seared steak. Don't add salt until after it's browned or else the salt will pull water out of the beef making it take longer to brown, and drying it out. Once the beef is browned and the pan has some fond built up, then deglaze with a little bit of water and/or Worcestershire sauce. After deglazing add some black pepper, and rosemary salt.
Rosemary Salt:
>1 cup kosher salt (250 grams)
>14 sprigs of rosemary stripped (16 grams)
>8 sprigs sage stripped (8 grams)
>3-5 cloves of garlic (20 grams)
>Zest of one lemon (~3 grams)
You can also add some minced onion or shallot after browning but before deglazing if you like. This is a good base for adding other spices or sauces for making all sorts of other things with it. Add some chili powder, and cumin for tacos, etc.

I made Manwich the last time I got a molar removed. Just spooned a spoonful of meat to the back of my mouth and swallowed without chewing.
Got me the protein and menergy I needed to stay stronk until the gaping hole in my gums healed.

Best way? You're not gonna like this, but I swear I speak the truth. Keep it it in the fridge until it turns grey and smells cheesy. Beware that this grey cheesy state has a firm ONE DAY shelf life. Let it go beyond that and it's rotten. Cook with salt and whatever other spices you want. All you really need at this point is salt for an amazing base flavor of beef.

Yeah, and this guy's method for the salt timing and browning. I usually let my aged (nearly rotten) ground beef fry in its own fat until it's where I like it color wise, then deglaze, reduce, and drain if needed.

Minimum: garlic, onion, and bell pepper. Saute/caramelize them in oil separately from the meat first.
The asian crackslaw treatment: also add smoked sesame oil, ginger, red pepper, and a sweetener
Also good: black pepper, (smoked) paprika, cumin, poultry seasoning, montreal steak seasoning, any good seasoning blend really, curry powder, tomato paste
