*solves pizza*

reddit told me that pineapple on pizza is a heckin no-no.

Almost, but not quite. It's missing the jalapenos

My theory behind why people despise pineapple on pizza is that it's typically accompanied by Canadian bacon which is just dogshit deli cold cut ham. People associate the pineapple with the Canadian bacon so they think they must hate the pineapple too, but if you put pineapple on a pizza with pepperoni, or sausage they would actually like it.

The combo eats.

>>19755997
This combo also eats. Every add cheddar too? That's optional but its an option i've tasted that also eats.

It's more that the pineapple usually is disgusting and dried out. If you use some juicy slices/chunks people love it.

But small ham chunks or slightly thick slices on pizza tastes good. And adding pineapple to that tastes even better.

What if I actually despise pineapple and don't like putting it on anything?

>> No.19756131

>>19756113
Valid distinction. Juicy pineapple on pizza is delightful in a way that dried-out pineapple is not.

Do you have any weird neuroses about other fruits? Does mango make you curl up in a ball and cry? Where did the pineapple touch you?

>> No.19756143

>>19756135
No, mangoes are cool. Fruit in general is fine. Pineapples just taste terrible.

>Pineapples just taste terrible.

I'm not trying to be a dick but maybe you should add the caveat, "to me" somewhere in that sentence or around it. Why? Because the majority of the world, I think, finds pineapple delightful so making a categorical statement like pineapple tastes terrible is overbearing and not circumspect.

Pizza was never a problem, but yeah, Hawaiian pizza's a good pie, and a good base for further toppings.

>>19756118
Then don't. At no point will anyone from /ck/ force you to eat pineapple.

I thought it was obvious that I was stating an opinion, given we're talking about taste. Anon didn't qualify that his take on Canadian bacon was an opinion, everyone understands it fine, because context.

>>19756149
I don't, I'm just giving another perspective.

In this thread trolls attempt to work together to gaslight people into thinking pineapple on pizza is actually good. Its the /ck/ version of IPA hipsters trying to think its a good drink.

I'm not talking to that anon. I'm talking to you.

Disgusting. Every bit as vile as tortillas with orange peel/lime. Meat and fruit together are a no-no.

In this post, an NP/ck/ attempts to justify a dislike (whether real or cooked up for Chanpoints[TM]) by claiming enjoyment itself is a psyop.
