You want to take the recipe you normally use for chili and take out as much water as possible
-Add no water
-Squeeze out tomatoes if whole
-Drain tomatoes if canned
Whatever water is in the slow cooker will stay in the slow cooker, and vegetables sweat. The exception is dried lentils, which absorb water. I usually add a quarter cup of brown lentils as water absorber right at the start of the cooking process but it’s not strictly necessary.

A lot better than expected.
Spicy but mellowed out with the strong basil taste
I started out just frying onions and garlic in butter, then started adding in a little bit of basil from my garden. Later added some smoked paprika, some cumin, black pepper from a grinder, and some of those red chili flakes.
Remembered I had some salsa my mom made last night and poured some in with more cut basil then let it cook for a bit so some of the water evaporated. After that I cracked 3 eggs and carefully placed them in the sauce so they'd stay intact. Some more paprika, cumin, and black pepper sprinkled on the eggs + the basil leaves that I bruised a bit with my hands then covered with a lid.
