it's likely on an interstate and on a stretch of it that if you're on it you're likely already going 200 miles that direction. Like if I'm driving from Dallas to Houston, once I get out of Dallas there's a bucees billboard just like this telling me there's one in madisonville which is where I'd be in like 2 hours

That's a fairly small amount of driving for an average-sized person, I'd say? The main reason road trips go so fast and "feel" so short is that there isn't much density to American highways. I wouldn't WANT to drive 172 miles to bucees in that timeframe, but I could easily.

By that logic the US dates to 1492.
You are pretending that multiple European states haven't had their borders shifted so much as to not have any relation to the state they claim to descend from. Most of Poland used to be German, the Ukraine used to be Russia. The UK used to be French/Dutch/Roman. France used to be Celtic.
Modern euro states and their modern cultures are not as old as you like to pretend they are. There's a good chance your ancestors were some mix of central European mutts who migrated to a random major city on the continent at some point in the 18th-19th century for the economic opportunity. This was common in an era when being Christian was considered more important than being Spanish/Austrian/Italian.
