every year the post pubescent males and females of my village make the long trek to ft. lauderdale, or las vegas for the annual "get drunk and acquire an STD". there they drink massive quantities of cheap canned alcohol, dress as little as possible, and either grunt and flex, or slap their but cheeks together in a rhythmic fashion in hopes of attracting a mate that will father their children they will abuse and blame for all their problems.

There are seasonal release parties for certain beers with music and shit. The main one I guess is special release stuff for the state fair which is usually gross but fun

"Pickle Shots" (pickle juice + vodka) are stupid popular here, but I'm not sure how local that would be.

A pomace brandy similar to grappa called "orujo". They make a drink almost identical to Bailey's with it called crema de orujo and another popular digestif is a sweetened liqueur made from it and steeped in herbs. Both are usually drunk after meals on ice.

If you order a Manhattan here and the bartender doesn't realize your a tourist, you'll get brandy in it instead of whiskey. If they do realize they'll ask.
Also, there's a heavy drinking tradition associated with deer season and going to da camp, but that one is a bit harder to define. Each camp will have it's own traditions.

Where I am from? Tequila. I live in Tamaulipas state, one of the few ones to be able to produce it. There used to be a plant in my town when I was 2 or 3, but it closed down.

On another even more local note, people will ferment and make a sweet drink out of the huapilla plant, which is kind of like a cactus fruit.

Where I live right now? Jenever, aka "dutch gin"

Living in Norway alcohol is a big deal. We have brewed "Yule Ale" for a millennia at this point. Every area has their own Aquavit and our local beer brands are the pride of our towns and most have been in operation for a long ass time. At this point distilleries are growing and we are seeing more gin and whiskey coming from Norway.

I guess in New Jersey, we have applejack. It’s an apple brandy made by leaving cider out in the winter so the water freezes, or distilling it like regular. It used to be really common in the colonies, but nowadays, Laird’s of New Jersey is one of the last places that makes it anymore. It’s not super common in jersey, people tend to drink more Yuengling & cheap red, but you can still get it in most places in the state & neighboring mid-Atlantic
