Hello /ck/. My apartment is infested with rats and I have culled many of them using rat traps. How can I properly prepare the meat for consumption?

Feels wasteful to just throw perfectly good meat away. Should I process them into ground chuck or bake the rats into a pie?

Lots of small bones in there, OP. I think the usual method is to roast them whole.

You should eat the rats instead of wasting meat.
If you also have roaches/bedbugs you should consume them as well for extra protein

Eat them raw*

I do have bedbugs and roaches. (drain flies too) It's too tedius to eat them one by one. Do you have a better method for collecting them?

Grab a ladle and scoop them from your bed into a container

Skin the rat, once you get it down you can kind of peel it like a banana. Gut the rat and cut off the head, feet and tail.. Use a mallet to just beat the hell out of it. This should crush up the bones enough to no longer be an issue and make for much more tender rat.
Trust me, I'm a recently defrosted paleolithic human
