I don't understand the point of these drugs for the casual dieter.
You can't expect to be taking these for the rest of your life right? At some point your gonna stop the drugs and then the appetite and weight will come back.
As some sort of medical intervention for the morbidly obese, sure I could see that.

Losing weight isn't hard. The lifestyle changes necessary to keep the weight off is what's hard.

From what I understand Ozempic is a miracle drug and a kind of cheat code, but I never have heard any personal stories about it.

I mentioned Orlistat, which also goes by Alli, but funnily enough it won't work if you don't change your diet since it just blocks absorption of fat so you just shit out orange oil if you keep eating greasy foods (leading to the whole shart-in-mart poop stain phenomenon).

I don't think turbo fatasses are the target market for stuff like ozempic. It's for the people who are obese or overweight but haven't given up entirely yet.

It's marketed to these people but it's also completely useless for the vast majority of them.
You drop $10k on Ozempic to lose 100lbs. You now have 3 outcomes.

>Take Ozempic for the rest of your life at $10k/year.
>Stop Taking Ozempic, change nothing, and regain the appetite and weight
>Stop taking Ozempic, change your lifestyle/diet, and keep the weight off.
This is the best choice. Only caveat being, that changing your lifestyle/diet would have led to weight loss anyways and all you've really accomplished is throwing away your money.

It's not the true physical sensation of hunger that makes people over eat. It's the dopamine release people get from delicious, high sugar foods. This is an evolutionary mechanism to make sure our ancestors gorged themselves when food was available. In today's society with junk food so readily available, it essentially serves as an addiction similar to Heroin, Smoking, Masturbation etc. It's the brain releasing pleasure chemicals demanding the over stimulation the modern world provides in food, porn etc.

Fuck you assholes. I'm on ozempic idgaf. It's easy for you fat fucks to say how in shape you are and how lifestyle change blablabla. I work from home, and at the end of the day, I was prediabetic. What does the dr say? You don't have diabetes but if you keep gaining weight you will. Lose weight, no diabetes. So fuck it, in spite of the hundred hoops with my insurance to prove I wasn't taking for weight loss, I'm on it and list 45 lbs in about 4 months no ragerts
