Kebab is getting boring, I have a feeling it's time in the limelight is nearly over. What do you think is the next big thing?

Damn, I really wished the Asians here(Australia) developed a night food scene like the ones in Bangkok I visited. I guess the overly zealous hospitality laws prohibit open charcoal pits without a hood and the other than thousand regulations preventing such a dynamic food scene taking place.

I don't wanna go to a shitty kebab place everytime I get high and drunk on a Friday night, that just gets old real easily and pretty unhealthy too. Kebab is bland asf.

what kind of kebabs are you eating? döner in germany is god tier but only if they make their own spike obviously, it's the same thing with gyros pita. there are basically two tiers of meat and the difference in quality is like day and night, there is no in between. if they don't make their own meat spike every day but buy mystery meat from an industrial supplier instead it's not worth it

.

what kind of burgers are you eating? burger in america is god tier but only if they use a flat top obviously, it's the same thing with cheesesteak. there are basically two tiers of meat and the difference in quality is like day and night, there is no in between. if they don't make their own buns every day but buy bread from an industrial supplier instead it's not worth it

Sorry to hear that you're from England, but just because something is popular in your smaller-than-nearly-any-US-state shithole does not make it a 'big' thing. lol. Show me one "kebab" stand in the US aside any in New York City (if they even have any).

Asians really got it right when it comes to night markets and such. After about 10pm here in Ausfalia you're lucky to get a pizza or a kebab of questionable quality.
Go to Taiwan or Hong Kong and 10pm is when shit starts to ramp up. Grab a beer and cruise around picking and snacking. Thats what I call heaven.

Nah, Ive tried the good kebabs, even those are pretty bland and too heavy for me. I can't stand how fatty it is and how bland the meat can be. To be fair I'm going through a health phase right now, so that could be related. But still, you can only eat something for years and not get sick of it eventually. I wish the vendors experimented more or diversified their range.
