It's the same reason chuds think that CNN is the worst news outlet: someone called out that specific company once and now they just use it to refer to anything negative they see in a particular industry, even when there's nothing specifically bad about it. Most people here have no clue what a food distributor even is, and think that a Sysco truck pulling up behind a restaurant means that restaurant is serving factory produced hospital slop out of microwave bags. I personally don't like Sysco because they cater more towards larger businesses and have had multiple bad experiences dealing with their reps.
