What the fuck.

Post stories about how you bought off brand and it ended up being better

Try Underwood Ranch next
They're the original pepper growers for Fuy Hong and Rooster screwing them over is why there's a shortage in the first place

Back in the 2010s I use to work with at-risk youth. Long story short, the public school girl was better than the catholic school girl. Yada Yada.

Just the regular Kroger brand was on par with Hong Foy.

No.. I go through the big bottle of Valentina Black label about once a month.
I'm not a spice freak trying to blow my asshole inside out, but I'll often put a tablespoon of Sambal on my food.
It just didn't taste like sriracha at all. Maybe not enough sugar?
Dunno, I'm going to start making my own. There's a great fermented sriracha recipe I've been posting, but haven't gotten around to making yet.

>Just WHY...

Because their minds haven't developed enough to be able to make those kinds of choices for themselves. Their chemical balance and hormones are completely out of whack during that time and the potential for them to make long term life altering decisions should be reserved for when they are 13 or so and above.

Badia generally makes pretty good shit in my experience. Buy a lot of their spices, they're pretty cheap and fresh and flavorful.

I Dunno..
Contractual obligation?
All the other producers were already sitting on a backstock anyway?
The Normies have been murmuring about shortages for a couple years now, and Hoy Fong is their Brand name GOTO.
Also, a LOT of SHITTY PEOPLE got fucked with the toilet paper thing in 2020-- Bound and determined not to get fucked again, some of these shitheads HOARDED 10-15 bottles at a time.
IDGAF, I can make my own easily.

Huh. I also liked the Texas Pete's version, which tasted more like how I remember sriracha tasting a decade ago.
Unfortunatly, the only one in stock at the grocery store was the Tabasco version.
I gave it a try, and it's just not the same.
Much sweeter, less spicy.
