I tried again this morning without sugar and without the aeropress filter.
Later I will try with the aeropress filter for good measure.

So, there's a layer of oil floating and it breaks in small drips if I stir but it quickly coagulates again. It's not as bad as the previous pictures, which tells me that the sugar does something.

I have a stainless moka pot which I regularly wash and rinse under hot water very evening at the end of the day, then I dry with a paper tower to remove all the oils from the internal parts and the chamber where the coffee is being collected when brewed.

Recently gone off coffee 'as a drug'. 30+ years of at least three cups a day, dipped in and out of everything from cheap instant to caring about grinding methods.

Now it gives me the shakes and I feel like I'm having a heart attack. A few (actual) panic attacks. Withdrawal was a nightmare -- took about two or three weeks -- but I've never felt better off.

Yeah, that doesn't look like you're getting an espresso grinder for $150.
According to him, the stock burrs (which the refurb will come with) can't grind fine enough and need to be upgraded to the SSP burrs of your choice.
Upgrading the burrs brings the refurb Ode up to $340, and at that point you might as well get a DF64 and not need to deal with the stalling issue.

Arancini FH was round, small and hard. How hard? So hard that using a fork couldn't pierce the fried batter surrounding the rice ball. The dark color indicated that it was deep-fried a too long. Carefully I picked it up and bit into it. As expected, the batter was hard and broke shards in my mouth. The rice ball inside was also hard to chew and the cheese was minimal. Dipping it in the sauce made it more palatable but just. This arancini was probably cooked with the same level of care and proficiency as a teen at McD cooking french fries.

They would have had to have made it after at least the HG-1, considering it's a motorization kit for a HG-1 or HG-2, so what's your point?

As for the 83a, I again ask what the point is.
That's a $1,700 grinder, burrs not included, and the cheapest burrs they sell are $320, bringing the total price up to at least the price of a Weber Key.

How in the world are you supposed to "Just buy a Wug2 with labsweets for the same price" when that combo is $2180, whereas the Ode being discussed is $150 to $340.

I'm almost a week into making pour overs with my V60. When I watch pour over videos on Youtube, they have it brewed in under 3 and a half minutes but for me it's at least double that time. The videos I've watched have been just for one cup but I'm brewing 2 cups, so does that mean the brew time is expected to be double since more water has to be filtered through?

most people dont know you can take apart the press/filter thing which is actually extremely hard to clean.
like cleaning a mesh is really hard.
especially if the grime is really small and has been "caked" on for weeks, months or even years.
if its too much work you can just buy another, most french press are so cheap you could buy a new one every 6 months and it wouldn't really be a problem.

do you guys think black coffee causes acne? i drink coffee almost everyday and i felt some happening but im not sure if that's because of coffee. i searched it up and found some shit on google suggesting coffee makes your body hot or whatever but doesnt cause acne as long as theres no consistent sugar or milk involved.

i drink black so, shouldnt be the case. im also 5'3 and weigh 45kg, how many cups is *too* much a day?

thoughts?
