What are some restaurant types that aren't generic, but aren't "too interesting"?

My birthday is coming up and my Dad wants to take me to get dinner, and I've suggested greek (I want the fire cheese) or somewhere I could try lobster for the first time, but he poopoo'd both because he's a "normal food" person.
Anyways, do you know any restaurants that have something new to eat alongside the usual goyslop so my family won't be too alienated?

This is disturbing. Has it come to tell me my future? Collect my soul? Or maybe just to watch and be seen so it knows I know it's watching me so it can feed on my loosh?

Thanks for reminding me that, despite everything, it's still good to be an American. Living in a culture where something as basic as Greek or seafood seems "too exotic" for the general population would be suffering.

>I could try lobster
If you want lobster, you need either a seafood joint, the classier the better, OR a steak joint that does surf and turf. DESU, most chain steak places do terrible lobster. Best lobster I have had was from Belize, grilled. 2nd best goes to cruise ship lobster, that shit is fire too. It's far better to do it yourself. Just get some tails, cut out the meat from the shell (defrost first), stick it on some skewers and charcoal grill it. Best lobster, just don't overcook it.

Oh, if you have a brazilian grill that does a buffet in your area, those are pretty good and most white peopo can handle it. Or just fucking google shit near you, we aren't google maps.

That's how I felt lol it's like okay, I thought this was for me?

My grocery store right next to me sells them but I didn't trust myself to do it justice.
Will propane grill do?
The brazilian one does interest me, I could go for that.
Good lobster tips anon, thank you.
