Truly only a godless nation of criminal scum would devise something so disgusting.

Marmite mogs this crap so hard it's not even a joke

>> No.19530829

as a Publixchad i can get both vegemite and marmite in the international aisle
but i’ve never been able to commit to buying a jar

Do it. Especially Marmite. It's good to add to beef broth and on toast with a cut of butter.

I actually bought some once myself just to try. It was alright, but I probably won’t buy it again. It’s mostly just for spreading on toast, and a little goes a long way. You have to have butter on there too

>> No.19530906

You only spread a little bit usually along with some butter or margarine. Retards eating a spoonful of it and wondering why it tastes bad

Idk about vegemite but marmite is delicious
As last anon said, you eat it on toast with a little butter, delicious savory flavor and lasting mouth feel

Give it a shot, Marmite is actually pretty accessible. A slab of toast with butter and Marm is a nice addition to brekkie.

A friend of mine visited Australia and brought some back for us all to try. I liked it.

I sort of did this and still thought it was good.
Still need to try Marmite though.

I'm a yank and I've been reccing Marmite for years, we love strong flavors and if it were more available here I'm sure it would be popular

This.

And people need to stop thinking that it's only good for spreading on toast just because Aussies use it for that sole purpose. I love Aussies but they have no culinary creativity.

Marmite can be used to deepen the savory flavor of soups, stews, broths, and sauces, they can go in meatballs, dumpling fillings, so much stuff. Think of it like soy sauce paste; you can use it in place of soy sauce for more umami.
