My senior dog has chronic pancreatitis issues, and recently has really started slowing down. I've been cooking him a homemade diet of chicken, brown rice, sweet potatoes, carrots, etc. for years, but he just has no appetite anymore. Now i make 100g patties from ground turkey that I just quickly fry in a skillet and sprinkle his digestive enzyme on. I don't know how much longer he's got, it's so sad to see him like this. He was actually the best dog I've ever known, super chill and just wants to hang out all day, never had too much energy or was annoying, always listened to you and came when he was called, friendly at first sight to everyone. The best of boys.

I just buy canned food at the pet store for my cats. Usually the one thats labeled with the most meat. I periodically check the ingredients and look if every meat is labeled separately which is a good indicator that it's actually higher quality. It's a bit more pricey but nothing major, I believe I spent like a bit over 100 or 120 bucks a month including all needed things.

My sweet little baby man only has limited ingredient wet food and kibble. Right now he eats Merrick salmon wet food and Natural Balance salmon kibble. We realized he's most likely allergic to chicken since his skin gets really flaky when he has too many chicken based treats.
