WAfag who knows his salmon reporting.
I'd like a money shot to be able to judge more accurately, but it seems fine enough from the outside. Good orange color, barely any of the fats running out, looks like most of the moisture is still inside, so overall great job cooking it. Can't say the same for whatever seasoning you put on it though, it sorta looks like some sort of dried Italian herb blend. I'm sure it still tastes decent though.
If you really want to step up your salmon game, next time try baking it with fresh rosemary, dill, and half a lemon sliced and the other have juiced over it before you cover it and toss it in the oven. I like to serve it with purple wild rice and asparagus.

Thanks anons. I've actually never cooked salmon before so i was going an easy route. It's literally just salt, black pepper, basil, and parsley on top. After baking for 20 minutes or so i squeezed a lemon on top of everything

Yeah, I used to live in Seattle for several years. Did quite a bit of fishing for and eating salmon there. WA fags have no idea how to cook salmon. The above recipe is how damn nearly everyone cooks it there and it sucks. Usually ends up underflavored and overcooked. What I would do here is bake that potato crusted in olive oil and salt until the skin is oily and leathery and the sugars have been slightly caramelized then brush off most of the salt. Then take a salmon filet with skin, I prefer coho or even pink salmon caught in the saltwater out in the sound, sprinkle with whatever seasoning you like and throw skin side down in a big really hot carbon steel pan with a bunch of bacon grease in it. Let that shit sizzle and cook. Separate from the skin with the spatula and flip the filet to sear and sear the other side while flipping the skin separately to fry it crispy, like fish bacon. Then spread that tater open like I did your mom last night and give the insides a brief rearranging with a fork. Add some butter and pepper, whatever you like. Then I'd chop the fish up and put it in that potato and cover with crumbled crispy fried salmon skin. Serve with lemon and parsley and don't forget to eat the potato skin, it's the best part. Do whatever with the lettuce. I'd just trash it.

Good start! You should try a salmon fillet like that over a caesar salad next, it's delicious. Dressing home made, of course.

I don't really like lemon on salmon but could be a safe bet, fish is usually served with it most of times anyways but also dill which is essential. Try adding crushed garlic in too. Cooking salmon isn't the easiest but it ain't the hardest either. You fry the skin first and you can watch as it cooks through depending on your cut of salmon. If it's the very end of the tail or a very thin one then you probably won't notice nor won't need to be as careful with it but the regular thick cuts you can check the sides and notice it getting cooked. Once it's up to further than the middle you flip. It gets hard sometimes to get it right but you sure as shit don't want it overcooked so take it out and check if necessary, don't flip it too many times either.

I did this for years. I also had one small pot and one small frying pan, one set of chopsticks, one small cutting board, and one oyster knife. My apartment didn't have a dishwasher but I had one small scraper and one small scrub brush. There was no AC so I had one small fan and one small dog to keep me company. I had one small fishing setup and one small cooler and lived by a small fishing pier in a small one room studio apartment. My power would go out regularly for a week at a time so I had one small candle lantern and one small butane stove. I would wait for an hour or so to download one small picture of Tawnee Stone or some Thai cutie (not sure if female or ladyboy) for Saturday night entertainment. It was nice. Life was simple. I miss those days.
