oh man I remember the cold October day my mom bought me pickerel. tasted like mint. I brought them to school and I remember the principal demanding I put it into her hand because it was against school rules to have chewing gum, and I told her, "it's not gum, it's wax" and her fucking mind was blown and she had no words, and I just walked past. Fuck thanks OP I hadn't thought about this in decades, that was a nice win come to think of it.

It's a caricature, so the point is to draw attention. Big red lips are eyecatching, so even though it's inaccurate it reinforces the 'black big lips' idea. It's also meant to be clownish, so accuracy takes a back seat
