i have two retarded questions

i know "meal prep" is gay but is "cook prep" a thing or a methodology home cooks follow? like basically portioning out your protein and cutting up your veggies and shit and having all those things ready to go ahead of time and freezing them so you can just pull stuff the day before and cook with minimal prep and cleanup? i don't like meal prep because i'm not eating 1 meal for 4 weeks straight and freezing and reheating the food kind of kills it but it wouldn't be too bad if it were the raw ingredients and they were just in there a couple of days right? i was curious if this was a thing and wanted to see how other people do it to get an idea of how to do it myself, what kind of containers work best, so on.

also are there any good websites to find recipe ideas where you can just plug in some ingredients and it'll bring up stuff? i don't even need the recipe to follow 1:1 necessarily, just some new ideas and a little guidance on stuff i'm not familiar with cooking on the regular like curry would be nice.

Sounds like an extreme form of mis en place. Not sure any place freezes their prepped ingredients but go ahead.

And your second question you're looking for https://www.supercook.com/

It would make sense to do, usually the actual cooking of the meal is the shortest part of the process. I'd certainly be interested in trying this out.

How many threads are you gonna do this in, homie?

basically, i find prep and cleanup take up a lot of my time because i'm not just cooking for myself and i have to measure things for a diet and i'm cooking two meals a day. so i feel like i could compress a lot of that by doing it at once in batches rather than having to spend all that time cutting shit up and measuring it out every day.

yeah i pretty much got the idea from watching some Food Network slop in the background and the dyke with the crazy hair kept referring to it so i looked it up. i pretty much already do that but like i said, while it makes the cooking process smoother, doing it for every meal is becoming extremely time consuming.

I dont call them anything. It is just rational to cut loins into chops seperated by parchment paper before i freeze them etc.
My grandma would refridgerate unleaven dough for quick meals.
