For the most part, yes. Nobody is going to call an eggplant, zucchini, or cucumber a fruit, but there are some grey areas. I personally think that tomatoes, tomatillos, and peppers are all fruits, but some people may disagree. That said, it's pretty hard to look at an avocado and think "vegetable".
