Proportions?
I've been working on getting a perfectly chewy chocolate chip cookie
Somehow my best batch so far was when I fucked up and started with no brown sugar or molasses on hand, so I used white sugar with a tablespoon of honey

Oh, and what did you do for mixing the butter and sugar? I've tried creaming it for various lengths of time but melted butter seems to make a chewier cookie

Don't bake with Kerrygold, it's a waste of money, unless what you're baking relies on butter heavily for flavor, you should be using storebrand butter for baking.

I usually wait for butter sales around thanksgiving or Christmas and then stock up when it's $1-2/lbs, it keeps well in the freezer especially if you vacuum seal it. I'll buy 10-20lbs of butter and keep it in the freezer to use for baking all throughout the year.

Neither am I, I'm just not stupid either.

I buy a 1lbs of kerrygold a week and it gets used every single day in my house, i'm just not stupid enough to use it for baking where it wont be noticed at all.

afaik OP left after his picture of his cookie dough, looks like he is marinating it in some kind of oil. I was baking burger buns today so I thought I would post.
