Milennials are fags, but I'm glad those boomer shitholes are dying. There are small towns in the Midwest and other parts of the rural US where people think Chili's is top tier cuisine.

These are all middling quality massive chain restaurants. Dogshit prole garbage that holds up in markets because they serve hogs accessible chow.

None of these are any fucking good. I guess maybe young people aren't completely stupid after all.

Too expensive, if you're paying these prices you may as well go somewhere good. These places used to fill the gap between fast food and "real" restaurants.

Except when any of these standalone-building restaurants fail they are quickly repurposed into Indian/Mexican/Chinese/Breakfast joints.
You're thinking of stripmalls.

>> No.19397309

>>19397304
They get repurposed quickly and then fail year after year because these places were built during construction booms in the late 1990s at a small Indian/Mexican/Chinese/whatever family cannot take over an old Olive Garden and keep up the volume to pay the rent

>> No.19397323

>>19397309
Your anecdotal experience of these restaurants failing yearly conflicts with my anecdotal experience of at least two dozen nearly decade-old Indian/Mexican/Chinese/Breakfast joints operating out of dead Pizza Huts, Applebees, Pizza Kings and KFCs within a fifteen minute drive.

I knew you would say this and I think the experience of being in what is clearly a dead chain restaurant that is turned into something new with little effort speaks for the "ghost town" aesthetic. Everyone knows the old Applebee's is now the Indian place. No culture.

OCB has been on its way out for years, well before the millenials became a target marketing sector for anything more than children's toys and cereals. They can't set the prices at a point that it makes sense for them to do business unless they put out the absolute shittiest level of buffet fare.

They still call themselves a "grill", yet they no longer have one in most of their restaurants. They replaced them with fucking ovens that they pawn off as grills.

>> No.19397890

>>19397879
I heard they switched to microwaves for almost everything years ago. they used to actually sell chili's branded frozen dinners for a while that were pretty good. I figured the tendies must actually be cooked fresh though since I'm pretty sure I got food poisoning once from them being under cooked. now they don't have them anymore and I'm pissed. making tendies at home makes too much of a mess.

All those places are trash but I had fond memories of old country buffet. Our grandmother would take use there, and she got older we'd take here there. It was awesome as a kid, ice cream bar and chocolate milk on tap. Tried a lot of food there for the first time.
