I recently ordered a jar of Vegemite for this very reason. I've known about it since that stupid song in the eighties.
It's okay, but now I use it if I want to make pizza from scratch and I want to fake the fermented dough taste. If you mix a teaspoon of Vegemite in the water before you add it to the flour it comes out pretty decent and you can have a deep dish from scratch in a little over an hour.
