Tins usually have more complex recipes where I am. I love trying new tuna salads in tins, mackerel in garlic infused oil, shit like that.

Water crackers are simply not a good replacement for saltines

Which deenz should be my deenz of the day?

>> No.19357704

>>19354739
Pickled pepper are the superior topping for deenz, but hot sauce is just more convenient. If you have the time go for the peppers, but just adding a couple dashes of hot sauce will still get you most of the way there without any sort of preparation.

Yeah, honestly those round cans of Polar deenz are my favorite cheap brand. They're so fishy, it's fantastic

Of those three Jose gourmet is likely the best choice.

My local Costco finally got these so I'm no longer relegated to boneless skinless Season brand as my go-to budget deenz. I know they're nothing special, but I'm excited to at least have something with more substance and texture for $1.67 a can.

Nigga please.

you only eat sardines because of memes on here and how disliked they are by your peers. you would order sardines on pizza just so people look at you.

Actually I eat deenz because they are a convenient and affordable source of protein and healthy fats that are shelf stable for years. Also I like the taste of fish. I would order anchovies on pizza though.

>> No.19359176

I buy anchovies in a jar, which makes a whole lot of sense. Who uses a whole can of anchovies at a time? I've never seen the sardines in a jar, but I can't say I've ever struggled to eat the whole tin.

It's the most tasty of the three, the ko ones are no better than cat food and matiz is okay for something you can regularly find in supermarkets.

Frankly, I have never been able to discern a pattern. Grocery stores have people whose job is primarily to purchase stock, and some of them like sardines more than others. I recently had a tiny grocery open up a few blocks from my home, and was lucky to discover that their purchaser must love canned fish. Before that, I'd just go to the Asian grocery store if I wanted anything other than standard KO stuff
