Mustard Deens don't get the chance they deserve.
The mustard is NOT like yellow squeezy shit. It's not vinegary at all.
I avoid tomato because of the propensity of companies to use it to mask "slightly off" fish, but mustard...
Hope you have some nice toast to go with it. mebbe a nice cuppa coffee that wasn't pissed out by a "Keurig".

I was out and had forgotten to buy more. I was surprised to see that little gadget in there.
Think of the implications involving experimenting on large percentages of the population with chems.
It freaks me out.
Just the hot water being forced through this plastic is bad enough, but I'd wager there's only a few companies making these disks.
I'm seriously considering getting a 50 lb. bag of green coffee just to roast my own--It should last a LOONG time, and I'm not even that autistic about my coffee--just a purist.(mostly)

I've never had a single decent breakfast burrito in my life, and home or fast food, and I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I have tried everything.
>white queso
>greasy bacon / sausage
>perfect eggs
>salsa / no salsa
>hot sauce / no hot sauce
>heated tortillas

Part of me thinks its the lack of rice and vegetables. That somehow the ingredients just run too much to savory/salty with similar textures. What the fuck is the trick to get a breakfast burrito right?

Lard.

in the sausage? or is it like a Colorado omelette and you're just straight up using shredded beef / pork?

...lard is sold by itself. You can buy lard and use it like oil.

Ok. The only time I used lard in mexican food is slow cooking carnitas but i'll use it in place of butter/oil.

>> No.19346470

>>19346400
It's actually somewhat traditional to use lard in lots of mexican foods. Perhaps that is the missing element.
I think things have gone downhill in the cooking world ever since American culture demonized lard and tallow. Crisco is just not the same.

3 parts egg
1 part meat
1 part tater tots
1 part cheese
Flour tortilla
Assemble, roll, cover in foil
Heat in the oven for 10 minutes
Unwrap and finish on the pan until two sides are golden
Do not put wet ingredients in prior to cooking, use as a topping

This might solve my texture problem re: lack of rice. Will definitely explore this
>1 part cheese
What kind specifically? I like drenching the curdled scrambled egg in white queso liquid but this would be a no-go with your method because they'd soak the tortilla while in the oven.

The McDonalds breakfast burrito is garbage because they include bell peppers, which ruins just about everything not meant to taste heavily of bell pepper (anything other than fajitas). The only thing they get right is the sweet picante sauce instead of salsa and the queso mixed with the eggs, which makes a delicious creamy egg slurry

This is what I had. I'm in Australia so I don't know if this is available in the US. I'm eating healthy from today onwards, so I pigged out on the weekend and ate a bunch of stuff I've never tried before, like this wrap. Anyway my impressions were
>the tortilla was a bit hard, texture was kind of like paper/cardboard, but wasnt hard to chew through
>chicken was pretty decent, a lot better than KFC (which is mcdonalds' main competitor here)
>sauce was good and made it all taste nice
>good quantity of lettuce and tomato
all in all it was quite delicious, i would definitely buy these instead of burgers, and it certainly feels a lot healthier than a burger. the only let down was the tortilla, if it was hotter and softer, it wouldve been perfect.

That seems sort of similar to the snack wraps they used to have. They were dollar menu items in the beginning I think but even afterward they weren't expensive. They had grilled and fried chicken options, and ranch sauce or chipotle bbq sauce. Maybe one other. But they were good, they seemed "healthier" than burgers, and there's no way in hell we're ever getting them back. Hell, McD's doesn't even have grilled chicken anymore

Best wrap ever invented coming through. Nothing will replace the LJS wrap which was like a seafood po boy wrap with rice, special sauce, and those crunchy gravel bits. This thing was fuck huge too. The way this chick is holding it is not an exaggeration and that's only half of one.

I'll be a lot of people steer away from them with that in mind.
T. will destroy pickled herring, either creamed or just with onions and spices style.
Makes me think there oughtta be a Mooseturd bread...
I'll bet there are a ton of good /ck/ recipes floating around.
As a family we made a sweet hot mustard and stone ground--gave it as presents for Christmas.
