> 1/2 apple
>200mL Ketchup (heinz works good)
>50 mL water

put the spices into a deep pan. heat them up, then add some of the tomato paste and a little bit of oil at medium heat. let it caramelize a little bit. then add the cola and juice. add the stock. let it cook until half of it evaporated. then add the ketchup and the water. grind down the apple and add it also. let it cook for 15min on low heat.
you want your sauce fruity but also a little bit hot. you can adjust by adding more cayenne. it should be of a more dense texture. just like picture related

Unironically because of lack of good ingredients. American pork is loaded with hormones and the sausages they sell here (even supposed bratwursts) taste nothing like in Germany. The ketchup tastes twice as sweet for some reason, too. There are factory farms and there are smaller operations across the entirety of America. There are always options. There are loads of German immigrants in the Midwest and elsewhere. Hell there's a fantastic brewery in St Louis called Urban Chestnut that does fantastic German beer and food. They have a massive beer hall. You'd probably appreciate it as a slice of home, especially since they're not obnoxious about it. It's just good beer and food.

I know people like to dunk on America, but you can find good specialty butchers almost anywhere. Same with bakeries that have good, real bread. There's farmers markets in every city. Drive an hour or more into rural areas and you can easily get fresh small farm meats without the markup. There's immigrants everywhere that do traditional style food, mostly to cater to other immigrants. You can avoid americanized slop with just a little research. It just costs more, as it should. This website is populated by teenagers that haven't experienced hardly anything but boy do they love to share their opinions.

What? It's not like it's difficult. Remember that population density is much less in America than it is in Germany. Sometimes you have to travel. In America you can make friends everywhere you go (besides major cities where people are more reserved like Europeans due to population density). The kind that will host you to visit 2000 miles away just to go fishing and camping. Germany doesn't have much if anything in the way of wilderness.

The kindness of Americans is one of my favorite things about the country. That and buying half a black Angus cow from a 30 head herd, meeting the farmer himself and chatting about his passion for his animals. That's living. Running to the grocery store doesn't compare. Chill.

Why is curry in the UK so good but in the US it is shit? I went to a curry place hoping for tandoori or something spicy and it turns out the restaurant was Japanese? But all of the workers were mystery meat mutts. I told the waiter I wanted the curry very spicy, I said out of 10 I want an 11.
