It's a metaphor. Once you stop Third Worlders from being slaves, they stop working and become shitty

real slavery takes place at some of the plantations where the workers are basically payed in food and are threatened if they want to leave. People being payed shit wages that choose to stay there out of desperation of another issue entirely.

It's not actually nestles fault because they aren't allowed to own those farms so they have to buy the beans from farmers that employ children

Yeah nah, I'm thinking thick and chunky chocolate bars are based. I hope that trend continues.

I'm a huge fan of the thickness and the Wonka-esque kind of 60s aesthetic the bars have going on. Even the texture of the wrapper is satisfying.

But how is the TASTE? I haven't tried them.

Somehow I doubt they're as bad as OP says

In Mauritania and other West African countries you can buy children to work plantations for $70.

Slavery never ended there. People argue about whether the green M&M is sexy or not, but literal slaves in forced captivity make those chocolates.

Pretty good, but none of their milk chocolate ones are dark enough for me. Their 51% "dark chocolate" almond sea salt bar is great, but 51% cocoa is what I'd consider a good milk chocolate.
Their 70% dark chocolate is nice too.

>> No.19327236

tonys makes tasty chocolate though, not sure why people are sucking nestles cock here, they are one of the shittier companies and make shit chocolate.

Because their bean processor (Barry Callebaut) doesn’t exclusively handle slave free beans.

I’ll admit I don’t like Tony’s way of adding very small pieces of stuff to their bars for every one of their chocolate+ flavors (Ritter I kneel before your fillings), but the Tony’s chocolate itself is good Belgian chocolate.
