Use a mixture 1:1 ratio of hydrogen peroxide 2% and water. Put in your ear for about 10 minutes, then drain. repeat this for a few days, then do this periodically like one a month. Avoid using peroxide only, you have to mix it with water.

Audiologist here. None of this is safe if you have a perforated ear drum. If you don't have any middle ear pathology olivölle is safe, diluted peroxide is generally safe as well.

Get an ear bulb syringe and squirt warm water in your ears while in the shower. I do this a couple times a week and my ears are mostly wax free when I insert earbuds.

If you have a lot of caked on wax when you start, you can add a bit of hydrogen peroxide or vinegar to the water.

get your ears checked first by a doctor. You do not want to put anything in your ear if your drum is perforated.
You really do not need to clean your ears. Ear wax is necessary to protect your ears.
If your ear is actually plugged with wax then go to a doctor. They can safely clean it out for you.

Yeah I fell for the doctor meme until I actually lost hearing in one ear. 30 q-tips later perfectly fine. Remember doctors are retards that not only fell for an extra decade of mindless indoctrination, they payed out the ass for it.

you just have to be careful and you if you're at all concerned you might have a perforated TM it's extremely dangerous. but, perforations are rare and if you're gentle it works quite well. this is why they sell them.

if you have impacted or stubborn wax some drops (olivölle or wax drops of choice) will soften it up for a few days before you irrigate.

yeah should be all good. some dummies make a seal and blast water straight into their brain which can cause issues, but generally you're just irrigating water through and back out of the ear canal and wala, clean earholes

generally you'll have some hearing loss on that side, almost always low frequencies. also you won't be able to pop that ear when you swallow or change elevation (because the drum has a hole in it anyway), and also if you *carefully* perform the valsava maneuver air will wheeze through your drum, sort of like a tire leaking air.

getting fluid in the middle ear, especially anything harsh enough to dissolve earwax for example, is bad news. it can cause damage to the middle ear structures (which includes the entrance to the cochlea) and otherwise can cause nasty infections
