The healthiest food is generally the most expensive.

>> No.19297064

Not really. The expensive stuff just usually tastes better.

>> No.19297163

In a sense. Meat, vegetables, and fruit are always more expensive than rice, pasta, and potatoes, but they are healthier and better for you.

Sure, you can feel full for a long while having all that starch and carbs, but it's not great for you. It will fill you, but it won't feed you properly unless you have some actual meat and veggies with it. So yes, if you want to eat healthily you need to spend more money, but obviously it's not a linear relation where more money == more healthy.

This
Eating cheap and healthy is easy but you have to know how to prepare a meal.
So it's either time or money investment if you want to eat healthy.

Nah. The actual ingredients for healthy food is inherently expensive and/or easily perishable. I am on a 85+% meat and dairy diet and constantly shifting from Fish, Beef, Scallops, Shrimp, Pork, Lamb and Lobster and various real cheeses can really rack up the bill.

If I just want to eat unhealthy things like beans and rice, corn, pasta, oats bread/grains and cereals is insanely cheap comparatively. Ever been to food drops or a food pantry? Lots of cheap unhealthy food.

Big bread/cereal/grain not long ago was in cahoots with the FDA saying such utter nonsense that processed Lucky Charms cereal is healthier than steak and eggs.

If you want to be healthy, you gotta pay for it one way or another.

No way. Cereal is $7 a box now. Chips are $6 a bag. The list could go on. Processed food, much like fast food, is no longer cheap. The produce section of the store still has incredible value, though. Carrots, green beans, cabbage, potatoes, squash, bananas and more can be found for $1-3/pound. You can still buy eggs for a dollar a dozen, too.

You are completely retarded.
>unhealthy things like... oats...
This faggot is so fucking assblastedly stupid I can't even. Clearly your understanding of nutrition is faggot-tier at best.

Eating healthy whole foods is far more affordable than eating processed foods. If this jackass wants to point out garbage foods like Tina's Burritos or shit like that, ok. There is a poverty line where desperate people eat what they can. But even then baking with flour and stews are very healthy and far more affordable than cheap processed foods. Certainly we could nit pick a dietary choice but I doubt this cunt knows fuck all past some meme shit they picked up.

This is the best though

Y'all are rated.

Healthy eating:
>extra virgin olive oil
>sardines
>minimally processed bread (find one with a short ingredients list and no sugar, or make your own for even cheaper)
>pasta or rice
>lots of fruit and vegetables
>something probiotic like yogurt or kimchi
>a little bit of meat, tofu, whatever

You don't need a ton of protein unless you're trying to hard to build muscle. Fruits and vegetables, some fatty fish, your favorite carbs. Meat is factually a luxury good and it's honestly too cheap, most people eat too much.

There’s nothing wrong with saying ‘take supplements’. I eat a healthy diet and still take supplements for maximal bone density, supple joint health, keep my skin healthy, even food can be a supplement (a little olive oil for polyphenols & healthy fats to some food that doesn’t really use olive oil). Please do not lie, it doesn’t behoove a good person and a person literally can’t get everything on a plant based diet. This isn’t a matter of, oh I didn’t know, this is a deliberate lie you are telling.
