I haven't had poptarts since I was a kid, well they were on sale the other day so I bought a box of strawberry poptarts. I remembered them being pretty tasty, I was quite disappointed when I bit in to one, they are fucking repulsive, the dough has zero flavor and the strawberry filling does not taste like strawberries at all, it's seemed so flavorless. I will never buy poptarts again, seems a lot of things have gone to corporate crap, it must not be profitable to use good ingredients.

If that is true it is nothing to hate corporations for but everything to hate the average person for. Corporations don’t do anything but try to get your business, if your business is attracted to being unhealthy you are the problem.

Basically it works like this, corporations could sell all organic free range non gmo food and similarly high quality nonfoodstuffs for $6 or they could sell the garbage for $3. The market chooses the 3 dollar option, and the 6 dollar option loses market share and has less presence. But it isn’t as simple as those 2 options, why stop at a 3 dollar cheap product? Quality is of course subjective, why don’t communists address the hole in the plot of evil corporations that is why don’t they go even cheaper? Because that is what the market wants, not the lowest of the low or the highest of the high but a tolerable transaction cost for meeting their needs.

If you want people to be healthier the answer isn’t idiotic control freak leftist nonsense, it is raising the lowest common denominator so that people want even more quality than they already do want now, because they do care about quality.

How do we raise the quality of the people is the question, and not a hard one demanding some sort of cultural change or social engineering like communism depends on, it is literally as simple as taxing them less and letting them have more of their own money to spend, thus raising the tolerable transaction costs for their needs.

I might not like soy but why would I ban it when I can just avoid it, what if I am wrong about soy and it really is the healthiest option over animal products, it is a good thing I allowed it to go on and didn’t try to fix humanity to my recently discovered as inferior diet.
