I judge peoples taste based on how much sugar they add to spaghetti sauce it's one thing to add a little bit to balance shit out, mellow out the acidity of the tomatoes, whatever I can dig. Its people who add more than enough sugar for the sauce to taste not much more than really ridiculously sweet tomato sauce and the garlic, basil and oregano flavors are completely muted no no no no I despise sweet tasting spaghetti sauce

Sweets wings, no, but American-style BBQ ribs, yes. I didn't like it. I can't say I like American BBQ as a whole, as least the kind that has BBQ sauce or brown sugar rubs or whatever. Also, Americans add too much seasoning to their barbecue, which is something I find weird as a South American; just salt is what we add, and let the meat and the charcoal take center stage.

My parents are from India so pretty much every meat I ate growing up was seasoned and spiced to shit.
Mexican food (authentic and texmex) were always favorites in my family because they use a lot of spices and peppers so everything had a lot of zing so we just assumed the rest of Latin America liked similar things. Was surprised by how subtle most South American food actually is.
