What is your favorite form of fried chicken?

Cooking chicken usually isn't worth the hassle, if I'm gonna bother cooking poultry I tend to go for duck. But I'm more of a beef guy so I just tend not to buy chicken

American style is my favorite. I generally tend to prefer bone-in chicken and I enjoy the somewhat flaky texture of the breading. Korean is nice too but I tend to find something that's purely savory more satisfying than something sweet and savory like Korean fried chicken tends to be.

That said, fried chicken in all of it's forms is pretty great. I tried Taiwanese popcorn chicken and really enjoyed it. I never would have thought to put basil in fried chicken but it works really well.

Popeyes is really solid for a fast food chain. It's one of the few fast food chains that manages to cross the boundary from "it's good for fast food" to "it's good, period." If I went to a sit-down restaurant and they served me chicken that tasted like Popeyes, I wouldn't be disappointed. Only talking about their bone-in chicken, though. Their tenders and sides are only good by fast food standards.
