Custom tip 0. If it doesn't let you, be a big boy and tell the teenager working there that you don't want to tip. If they say it's essential, throw trash through the window and drive away. This shit is spreading because you're such a weak faggot.

>What ever happened to paying your employees a living wage?
It's required by law for employers to pay their staff the mandated minimum wage if there are no tips. The problem is a living wage is a different thing altogether and most people need to work multiple jobs to achieve this, especially with no skills or certifications (waiters and retail workers fall into this category). Good thing tips are usually more than enough, and sometimes in cash to circumvent this issue entirely :v)

Anon, we fought a Civil War over paying immigrants pennies or bringing slaves instead of paying a fair wages to the local community.

I hate coffee shops. I'm in Bongland, a smallish town of 40,000 people. The town centre, which used to be a famous market square, is now surrounded by coffee shops. Note by coffee shop I mean 'place that serves coffee and other hot drinks'. To give you an idea. There are two independents, followed by a Costa Coffee (Bong brand iirc), followed by a Starbucks right next to it, followed by another independent next to the Starbucks, followed by another independent next to that one, followed by another independent one around the corner, if you go the other way, there is another independent, followed by a Java Coffee. Then if you walk about 200m down the road, you'll see another Costa Coffee. Come back and walk a bit further down the road you'll see another independent, followed by another independent a few shops on. If you keep going down and turn right, there is about 3-4 more.

My town is the fucking BOMB if you want coffee, a haircut (like a dozen barbers in the centre of town) or your nails done (about 9). The next most popular thing are pizzas with about 10 places in town that do pizza.

I hate how this shit has gone on.

Companies got away with offloading that duty to the consumer simply because the consumers didn't push back.
Most tipped employees earn more than their actual advertised wages in tips, so they're against recieving full salary and no tip.
