What sort of qualifications do you need to work in the food industry? A entry level baker and entry level chef job opened up nearby where I live. If I show up only ever having cooked for myself will I look like an idiot?

no, turnover in those places is generally pretty abysmal and your coworkers will be on pills 50% of the time and high 75-100% of the time, so if you're not on pills you can probably learn the ropes pretty quickly, just don't be a retard

>> No.19178410

Yeah but it will be sous in name only
You'll be putting in time not ideas
Write your ideas down, they don't suck, and keep notes on all your recipes
Someone will appreciate your ideas one day, but probably not the people you will work for tomorrow
KEEP NOTES, STEAL RECIPES even if they're bad and you'll laugh at them later, which you will
Don't expect to stay in kitchens and always keep a backup plan around, like bus driver
Bus drivers also can't do drugs or drive drunk
Don't do lots of drugs, don't work drunk, and don't steal, and you'll be golden
>t.I just didn't have a backup plan, now I'm a house husband, there are NEETs who make it seem great, they're fags, I have to talk to my wife about buying pants
>she's in favor of pants, but it's humiliating, and I just got $300 boots
Take advantage of your youth, strength, and time, cook amazing things, and progress
