The best mac & cheese recipe:
>boil aldente maceroni noodles
>grate and add cheddar cheese
>mix thoroughly
>add some salt
>bake if the cheese doesnt melt, kind of depends on your cheese and grater

literally better than 100 percent of mac&cheese recipes you will see. Im sick of bitches turning mac and cheese into a soup.

That's the most generic mac and cheese recipe ever, also, the cheddar is gonna become gritty and like a rock after an hour.
You need to melt together cheese slices and cheddar.

I make rouxs all the time. Mac and cheese is better without it. The cheese itself has lots of fat/oils in it that come out when it gets hot and lubricates everything. Its just a bad use of a roux imo.

Pretty much. Everyone wants to add things to keep the cheese melted instead of the best solution which is to just eat it right out of the oven.

You don't just make a roux and a white sauce, you also add cheese to that. Then you also add additional shredded cheese. If you've done it properly, it shouldn't be soupy.
