>ordered some cheap non-stick grill
>teflon wears in like 6 months
>ordered expensive as fuck Phillips smokeless grill
>not very hot
>teflon lasted a year
>no hard as balls to clean
>orders pic related
So what can I expect with this made in Japan grill that I saw on Yuru Camp. The non-still grill racks are a plus, and they sell replacement racks. All of the people doing reviews on them say I only need to clean the racks and drip plates. And that I should ignore the middle metal piece that covers the fire holes(idk what to call these things). Anyone have one of these things? I just want to enjoy Korean BBQ and Yakiniku while not looking like a pathetic loser going to a restaurant alone.

What's wrong with going to restos alone? Have some confidence, man. No one gives a shit if you are a lardass barging in and gobbling 4kgs of protein, as long as you pay properly.
That aside, they are are more suitable if you can find some free time, like, you will absolutely enjoy the meal and not just "for eating" if you use these.
For me I just use my clay charcoal grill, grill outside and bring the grilled shit inside. No need to wash the "fat tray" either.

How do you know? I've been wanting one of these for a while and it looks like there's plenty of Chinese not-actually-authentic shit

IDK but the reviews seems to think its made in Japan and quality is much higher than chink grills. It's $90 so my expectations is pretty low, if it lasts a year I will be impressed.

Restaurants actively discourage it because 1 paying customer takes up a table that could have been used to seat 4-6 paying customers.

Don't fucking bother with these. Just get a propane stove or induction portable stove and do hotpot. Less mess, no fucking coatings to worry about, and you can solitude it up at home worry free.

These shit grills are not worth it. They do not produce good flavor compared to a charcoal grill or smoker. Just get a fucking proper outdoor grill and make proper grilled food like a man. Even if you live in blue state commie block apartments where they take all your civil rights, they usually have grills on poles or a community gas grill. Use that shit and make real food, not babby's first grill easy-grill pretend food.

I'll look into it if the Iwatani grill isn't up to my expectations. I bought it through Amazon so return is pretty straight forward. The reason I am interested in these grill is because I have a small patio that I love sitting on to watch people go about their day. I bought a small chair and table just for me and one more person. These types of stoves would be perfect if It weren't for the long extension cords that is required.

The Iwantani is propane powered so its basically cordless.
