I have requested the entire month off from work and also making sure my savings are easily liquidated.
Going to get 3 breakfast crunchwraps with volcano sauce, 10 burritos for lunch and 4 quesadillas with volcano sauce for dinner.
Maybe change it up a little each day but that is my first meal on June 27.

Last time I went to Chipotle it was around $13 for a basic bowl. I paid the $.50 for a tortilla on the side and checked that I wanted utensils because I didn't want to do any dishes.
I got home and it was literally just the bowl in the bag. No tortilla or fork.
Freebirds looks pretty good but I'm in FL. $7 for a burrito that will satisfy me as much as a $12 one is a good deal to me.

TB anon reporting in. I haven't been to Taco Bell once in 2023, and I don't care what they bring back at this point. I'm not paying $15 for a fast food taco, a burrito, and some nachos - but that's what it's come to.

Seriously though, I don't understand the mentality of bringing back your most popular menu item once every 5 years for a couple months. Little Caesars pulls this shit with the pretzel crust pizza as well and it pisses me off.

I havent been to a taco bell since they started gutting the menu, so maybe 2 years? I went to one to check it out the other day and got one crunchwrap combo for fucking $13, the food was shitty, they forgot the hot sauce and the service was crap, and this is right down the street from their headquarters in Irvine. I'm pretty sure del taco is better in every way

If they do it there must be some benefit to it, still though it does seem weird with the pretzel crust considering how rare something like that is to begin with.

It's really nothing that special, anon. Make sure you stretch for 5 minutes a day (as long as you can scratch yourself anywhere on your body where there's an itch using either hand and touch your tongue to your penis you're good), don't drink anything other than water when you aren't drinking alcohol, make sure to change your bath towel at least 3 times a month, and as long as you're already consuming 2000 calories from vodka a day it really doesn't matter how much or how little you eat on top of that. Look for me in the /ck/ challenge some time later this week. I'm never at a lack of nourishment.

Yeah, they cut their menu and raised prices not long after I switched over. I still stop by from time to time, but the quality has taken a nosedive.

i dont have taco bell in my country, but they opened a new taco place here a few weeks ago. i wanted to go there but they had terrible reviews, apparently it was expensive, bland, very little food for the price and the staff was rude.

I guess the logic is that those popular LTOs will bring people back that haven't ate at their chain for quite a while (this part is definitely effective), and keep them coming back even after the LTO is gone again (not sure how well that works).
Maybe that psychology works on more people than I think. It definitely doesn't work that way with me.
I'll get the LC pretzel crust 4 or 5 times during the limited time they have it, but when it's gone I'll immediately return to going there like 2-3 times a year, max. Basically the same thing goes for me with Taco Bell and the Lava Sauce.
I'd eventually get tired of them to some extent, but if they kept those items permanently I'd go there maybe once a month instead of a couple times a year.
