But If you really wanna dive head first, id suggest having a Gin martini with a twist, or gin martini Gibson, both prepared without vermouth with a less perfumed gin, think Hendrix, and fords are good starter gins. Personally my daily driver is usually Bombay Sapphire or Tanqueray, but when going out to dinner I always drink Tanqueray ten gibsons, no vermouth.

I disagree entirely but it depends on your definition of cheap. I'll take beefeater in a pinch over 12 dollar a handle whisky but all whiskey between that and bombay sapphire i'll take pricewise.

kinda in the same boat as this dude/lady. I've become more of a cheap beer guy as I've gotten older. But I will drink double bombay and tonics here or there and honestly if there's an open bar gin and tonics are perfect because they're light enough but will eventually fuck you up.

I am the odd gin drinker out, being as I cannot stand tonic. If I needed to drink gin with a non alcohol mixer it would be with soda.

Only one person i knew who drank gin was the old black guy named Bird who would show up at my house at 130 AM with 7 bucks on a dime bag because he just spent 2.50 on gin and juice.
