Hard to beat the classic recipe. Although I sometimes substitute venison for beef and leave out the tomato. Funnily enough, I am unvaxed and my wife is triple vaxed, she caught Covid and was pretty sick while I didn't get it at all while taking care of her. Hope you didn't take the jab because I think it lowers immunity.

This is the first recipe I've seen that waits until the end to add the milk. Normally I add mine after the wine and cook it down for a few minutes before adding the tomatoes. What would the difference be?
Also, I thought nutmeg was actually mandatory?
