Does anyone actually know what the 11 herbs and spices are? And what the method is for cooking the chicken?

Were. Many people knew what they were. KFC is now salt, MSJ and cayenne.

If you want a good approximation of what they were :

per an analysis of the batter used it contains flour, salt, pepper, and msg.

purportedly for every 50 pound sack of batter a store manager adds one very tiny packet containing "11 herbs and spices" thus complying with truth in advertising laws.

The issue is that there is no point in adding 11 herbs and spices to fried chicken as the cooking process cooks out 99% of the flavor.

as someone who has tried making fried chicken with various herbs and spices.

you either can't taste them or they taste burnt.

>>19092546
this guy is the closest thing to the original recipe but it will taste nothing like currently made KFC.

You can buy the original herbs and spices from here. https://marionkay.com/product/chicken-seasoning-99-x/ The colonel himself hired marion kay to make the premade 11 spices for them.

Sanders recommended the Marion-Kay seasoning to franchisees over the corporate version, as he believed the latter had been made inferior by the corporation's inattention.[20] Following Sanders' passing, KFC sued Marion-Kay in 1982, and the latter was forbidden from selling its mixture to KFC franchises as a result.[20] The Marion-Kay seasoning is still sold under the name "99-X," and according to Sanders biographer Josh Ozersky, it is indistinguishable from the original KFC recipe.

Ex KFC wagie. To make the flour it is one bag of plain flour (10kg) one bag of fine salt and pepper (1kg) one bag of seasoning.
You then dip a basket of chicken into a water bath then after a few seconds of dripping you toss it into the flour mix container and shake that shit up. It then gets racked and put into the pressure Cooker (oil) for 20 minutes if I remember.

I just saw a video of thai fried chicken and they do some water soaking with flower and it supposedly makes it crunchier, i guess it makes sense if the oil replaces water, it's probably not that much different than buttermilk chemically in regards to frying

This anon knows. Except I think it's a pressure fryer, not a cooker.
When I make fried chicken from scratch, the only spices I use are salt, sugar, and msg. I'm a fried chicken minimalist.
...although sometimes I'll add hot sauce after cooking it
