2lbs chuck roast ($4 / lb)
2lbs pork loin ($1.50 / lb)
2tsp salt
1tsp MSG
1tsp vegetable seasoning powder
1tsp paprika
1tsp granulated onion
1/2 tsp granulated garlic
1tsp baking soda

ground in my kitchenaid using the fine setting, mixed it all together, rolled it into tubes and set it in the fridge overnight

Came out really really well

I didn’t have vegeta so I used a substitute I had on hand. Didn’t have ajvar or wanna make it so I got some “roasted red pepper bruschetta” at world market. Used pitas from costco instead of making levinja

Is koobideh the same as kofta? Cevapi is basically paprika seasoned kofta without skewers

I quite enjoy the grinder attachment. I like the texture of beef that it gives out. I like to make hamburger patties with it and I find that ground chuck from it it’s very good, you just have to let the patties set for several hours.

I have ground lamb and pork and beef with it. ground beef is usually cheaper from the store I just wanted to use the on sale beef chuck in this case, and the loin was cheaper than preground pork.

idk about that but I liked mititei in romania. with mustard sauce.
also mixed grill is the most satisfying thing

for whatever reason, in shartmerica grilled meat (besides steak) is usually some gay "healthy option" that is overcooked and shitty. and meat is overpriced so they wouldn't give you a platter like that

that looks super tasty. I had cevap recently at my local meditarranean restaurant and still dream of those tasty little units

"Ćevapčić" is the diminutive form of "Ćevap". ("i" at the end makes it plural)
It's like Spanish where "Amigo" means friend but "Amiguito" means "little friend".

It's basically regional and personal preference.

Balkan food is ok but its an inferior version of arab food. Kefta is way better than this with all due respect to my balkan brothers.

t. Arab

i always add pork fat in some form to kebabs, made me wonder: are there enough pork-eating people in the arab world that it is commercially available, or is it generally unclean and taboo on a cultural level to where you guys dont even raise pigs? is all of your gelatin, glue, pet food and leather sheep/goat/cow based as well?

>> No.19092898

you add pork fat because you can't buy lamb fat
