Well I spend about 1DKK per day on wildly overpriced gas for cooking so if you'll direct your attention to the graph, that's 0.4kWh you'll have to work with at this over the next couple of hours for it to be price equivalent. I looked up a cheap induction stove and it lists its lowest burner at 1.8kW so you get to have it on that setting for a grand total of 13 minutes and 20 seconds.

Gas is generally great, but I have a shitty, low grade gas stove, and judging by boil times, the "high" setting on mine is equivalent to about "med-high" on a standard gas stove. It takes FOREVER to boil water...I'll have a pot on the stove trying to make hardboiled eggs, if there's more than about 2 quarts of water in it, it can go 30 minutes on high and the pot won't even boil.

IDK, we had a electric then glass cooktop and my mom died super early from lung cancer, and she was a non-smoker. These "studies" mean nothing in the real world, you can fucking die from anything at anytime, even if you are doing the "approved thing" the media shills are saying. And I had asthma growing up.

I have a gas stove now and it is way fucking cheaper. No fucking issues at all, no breathing problems, nothing. The cleaning agents I use to clean stuff is WAY fucking scarier than whatever trace shit the stove puts out. In the "it will kill you immediately" if you breath enough of it in type of way.

I do agree with the fume hood thing from the study. Fume hoods should fucking vent outside. Can't sear anything super hot, sets off the alarms, drives me nuts. Makes sense why the asians always cook outside.

Anything a gas stove puts out is undetectable and does not cause health problems. I'm sensitive to that shit, which is why I live out in the countryside instead of in a city now that I can choose. Outdoor air pollution from cars is a WAY bigger factor in your quality of life. If you live in a big city, your lungs are already fucked from the outdoor air, the stove is negligible compared to that. It was so noticeable, that I could tell the difference when going back and forth between college and home.

The shit you clean with does more damage than the stove could ever hope to do, unless you are using some weird ass "natural" cleaning product.

Plus, the study was done by actually cooking shit, not just measuring the source output. Meaning these fucks confounded what is being cooked (independent from source) with the source heating style. The only thing from the study that was right was the hood vent issue, that shit was on point. Whatever knucklehead thought it was a good idea to vent INTO the house instead of OUT OF the house should be fucking shot.

The only reason anyone cared about this shit is because they want (You) off fossil fuels. It is NOT about your health. It is climate change bullshit, as well as it gets you ON GRID, where they can fuck you over if they want to.

It can't just be about fossil fuels. If it was then they'd be saying we should just switch to biomethane, which you can make out of your own shit in your back yard with a bucket, a hose and a balloon. Also, almost everyone gets their gas from the gas grid. They're already on the grid. Only psychopaths like me who moved somewhere without gas but didn't want to replace a great stove use LPG.

I'm just measuring that the CO2 concentration in my home goes up like crazy any time I turn on my stove or oven.
That means I'm also getting all the CO and other shit.
>Whatever knucklehead thought it was a good idea to vent INTO the house instead of OUT OF the house should be fucking shot.
Yes, exactly.
I don't need to replace my stove right now, I just need to remember to open a window before cooking. If not, the CO2 alarm will remind me.
>Outdoor air pollution from cars is a WAY bigger factor in your quality of life.
This is why I will never live near a freeway, railroad, industrial area, etc.

He's right, it's about control
Even if they shut off your electricity and gas, you can still run a gas stove, just not using gas from the grid
It's not about health since natural gas burns clean and mostly produces CO2 and water
Alternative fuels might be dangerous, which is what they would be pushing people onto if they shut off the gas

It's centuries-old tech, if it was dangerous, there would be all kinds of old wives' tales and urban legends about gas stoves
They're perfectly safe, this is a psyop

>> No.19063961

It's only safe if you live in a house. If you live in a Haber-Bosch cylinder it's extremely dangerous because under extreme pressure burning natural gas produces all sorts of toxic shit.
