What should I drink?

I'd normally drink beer but I've moved to Sloe Gin/Vermouth mix with sparkling as it love cocktails and I feel this gives me the volume that I crave but the same buzz of a beer...

What else should I try?

OP, if you want to drink alcohol and lose weight, drink vodka. Every alcoholic I've ever known has lost at least 51% of their weight.
Some of them even died, but since your goal is weight loss, just keep chugging that shit. I have faith in you.
Or, alternatively, you could just eat less and exercise. But people will say that this last idea is fucking retarded.

I play soccer 3 times a week. I just drink a LOT of beer on weekends and sometimes on week nights. I think I need to control my food intake and stick to spirits and water on weekends and I'll be fine.

all alcohol is packed full of calories. you have to either quit it or make up for it with extreme lack of calories during the day but then you would have to only function on alcohol which i dont think will work.

Try adding monosodium glutamate to your food while cooking it, and then add excessive amounts of salt to it when it is on the table.
Most people respond negatively to salt when they have reached their body's quota for the day.

That's in the early stages of alcoholism.
If people have jobs, then they (usually) have an excuse to abstain for at least 8 hours a day, but when it gets worse, they start drinking on the job, and they begin losing weight, and their ability to do their job will disappear.

Actually, dry wine is wine that has had all of the water removed.

When I was on a weight loss kick mixed with nightly drinking, I substituted beers for sugar free vodka sodas/hard seltzers
The benefit is having a beer-like can drinking experience, in addition to no calories on top of the regular alcohol caloires.
It worked pretty well for me

Whiskey with soda and lime on the side. You can drink whatever spirit you like sipping, but I like whiskeys because they're smooth and I'm a little bitch. Some low-carb beers are okay too.

Whatever you do, make sure you're tracking this shit. Sloe gin is 10% sugar. Compared with straight spirits or low-carb beer it has a lot of unnecessary calories.
