You make stoemp with it, a dish typical for Brabant and Flanders. Make mashed potatoes, add the chopped and boiled broccoli, done. Add copious amounts of cream, rich buttermilk or butter to hide the taste even more. Serve with sausage, thin veal cutlets and a quick gravy on top. Or serve with fish and shrimp and a poached egg.

Works great with spinach, parsnip, turnip, sorrel, parsley root, pumpkin, leek,... anything children don't like. But not beetroot, that one colours the whole mash in an ugly red

I usually hate broccoli but >>19035720 is right. roast it or pan fry it until it darkens up to almost looking burnt and it's actively good. use some butter and spices with it and you're golden.

Few years ago when I was working, studying and trying to bulk at the same time I didn't want to have to spend time deciding what to eat so I followed a 3000 calorie a day bulking on a budget plan for a few months where I ate the same thing every day.

One of the things was half a pound of broccoli every day and I always hated broccoli since I was a child but I found it was much more palatable if I ate it raw.

It takes a long time to chew up though and I ended up getting massive gains in my temporalis muscles and I had people asking me if I was okay cause my head looked swollen

Broccoli is ridiculously delicious, I don't know how you could dislike it. It's up there with cabbage and sprouts as one of the most savoury vegetables.

Overcooked and used in a pasta sauce, or roasted until tender yet crisp, or just straight steamed in the microwave, it's ridiculously versatile. It happily takes all kinds of flavors, and is also dead cheap - if it weren't for cabbage, broc would easily be the king of vegetables

Holy lord, you can hear the peak Fragile Boomer shit when he does his "Scooter" bits or whatever. And his "Scooter" bits are the REFINED version of the Boomer Bitching. Go back to his older videos and he'll go off on entire tangents while his geriatric whining. I guess he got enough feedback of people shitting on him for it so decided to tone it down but still. I swear to God there's a huge population of people over the age of 55-60 that need to be put down or put in a home.

Chinese beef and broccoli. Marinate the meat however you want. Boil the broccoli for 1 minute and remove it. Then sautee it all together. Make a sauce made of 3 tbsp oyster sauce, 2 tbsp shaoxing wine, 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp cornstarch. Mix it all together and cook it in the pan until the sauce reduces.
