This ice cream sucks and I finally found out why, it is because they pump it full of air. That is why Tillamook is more like eating marshmallow fluff than ice cream. It's literally worse than house brand.
also their cheese is low quality aswell.

You can really tell with this brand, similar to breyers. also, it contains cottonseed oil.
I don't have a problem with the gums because I think the gums add a cool texture.
I think I should just buy cream and sugar and make my own at this point.

I don't know how many hundreds, thousands of times I've said this on this board.

Ice cream is sold by volume, not by weight. That means that the less ice cream they can put into a volume of space, the more money they make. The amount of aeration in an ice cream is called "overrun". The cheapest ice cream will barely meet the standards for overrun, and the stuff that's even cheaper (breyer's) won't be legally allowed to call itself "ice cream" and will instead be called "frozen dairy confection" or something similar.

Higher quality, "super-premium" (it'll be so-labeled on the container) ice creams will have much less overrun and use higher quality, real ingredients, typically just cream, eggs, sugar and flavor. Because there's less air whipped in, a pint of super premium will be substantially heavier than a pint of "economy" or "standard" ice creams.

Buy the heavier pint of ice cream, always.

The *only* ice cream I ever see anymore that contains just ordinary ice cream ingredients is Haagan Dazs. Nothing else on the shelf is free of artificial flavors, gums or other goyslop chemicals. And many of them have offensive political messages printed on the cartons too.

>> No.18981449

>>18981271
>They aren't unnatural products and can result in massive improvements on texture and consistency as long as its not overboard.
They are only added because ice cream has to be transported by truck and then stocked by low-paid grocery store workers who might need to go on a smoke break while the cart is still parked in front of the freezer case. If it melts in between production and sale, then refreezing, without the thickeners, causes it to become much more dense than people like. And yes, I realize much Haagan Dazs ends up being sold after refreezing.

The important fact to note is that ice cream is most flavorful when partially melted, and thickeners make it impossible to access the special mouthfeel of having melted, sweetened, heavy cream and frozen ice cream in your mouth at the same time. The thickeners ensure that you're always going to be eating solid substance, even if it's well above freezing by the time you've gotten to the bottom of the bowl, which isn't good.

Slurpee costs the store 2 cents per oz in ingredients. That container would've costed the store $10 to fill, and he paid $2 for it. So the store essentially bought a news headline and front page advertisement (that is still getting engagement to this day) for $8. Meanwhile, that kid drank 7500 calories of goysyrup and got even fatter than he already was. I don't think he was the one jewing anyone that day.

Shut the fuck up. You're either a stupid boomer or someone covering for the little shit's people. It's not .02USD/oz for the store. There's no way in fuck after producing everything involved, it becoming something that can be sent out, then it going to the distributor, the distributor can charge them 2 cents per oz. If you had argued the distributor was getting it for less than a nickle I would have let it drop, but fuel everywhere alone makes it obvious you are a fucking retard.

It's 90% tapwater and air faggot. They only ship the syrup which is concentrated corn subsidy. Slurpee is cheaper to make than Coca-Cola. I got that figure from the first Google link so maybe it's off, but it doesn't even matter because my point still stands if it's anywhere within 2 orders of magnitude of that price. You are nitpicking on an aspect that doesn't even affect what I'm saying. If you think that 4 gallons of slurpee costs more to prepare than the price of a front page headline, then you are hopelessly braindead. As a hint, you don't even need to do the math: you can just assume it's profitable for the store based on the fact that they've been doing it every year to this day. Adults with higher IQ than you have already worked it out.

Because being your own cup day is supposed to be a bunch of silly nonsense where everyone "rips off" the store. They take a loss on slurpees intentionally and get a huge amount of free media coverage when people post video and photos of the antics online. There's always some kid that brings a pool and then 7/11 trends on tiktok, it's literally what they want which is why they allow it in the first place. 45 Dollars is not even a lot of money to a store that rakes in $5000+ gross profit in a day, probably even more in Brooklyn. They probably have that much slurpee stolen by blacks on a normal day and just eat the cost already.
